Inspired by a play by Brecht, the installation sets the organic decay of a dead cherry tree against the digital permanence of algorithmic content. Appropriating "Meditative Guru" YouTube streams, it constructs a synthetic sanctuary in which the simulation of nature displaces biological reality. Viewers are invited to play the dead part of the cherry tree as a woodwind instrument; when they try, the expected melody is replaced by a harsh sound. The interaction is the friction of breath against a screeching dead tree: the inability of the digital to resuscitate the physical.
