Jamal is a cherry wood relief based on a screenshot of a Telegram conversation with my identical twin brother, archiving the moment the Rockin' Alone project began. The laser-etched, CNC-milled screenshot is left untranslated, including the Farsi text sprinkled with English words and the timestamp. These puzzle pieces serve as a McGuffin, working alongside Rockin' Alone, showing him questioning whether it is "healthy" to act as my proxy and 3D-scan our mother's hand so it can be sent to become a sculpture.
