Installation; projection mapping, written narrative
This piece is a dramatic theater of light, using projection mapping to stage a recursive encounter with story: a protagonist arriving at their own corpse. Invoking the cyclical nature of the ouroboros, the work positions the body not as a biological entity but as an aggregation of collective memory.
It is combined with an unfolding written narrative that the viewer reads while walking through the installation. In the narrative, the dead body, the sculpture, becomes a composite of itself and of everyone's memories: the people the narrator has known, memories from the past merging and fragmenting identity through the multiplication of intricate details. The body shatters into abstract granularity, rendering the subject unrecognizable, until the character ceases to care about the body's identity.
